Search Still On for Millions in Pharmaceuticals Stolen in Forrest City

FORREST CITY, AR - Authorities are still searching for millions of dollars worth of prescription drugs that were stolen last week near Forrest City.

St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May says the cab from the tractor-trailer that contained the drugs was found in Olive Branch, Mississippi.  But, so far, there has been no trace of the trailer, which contained $5.5 million of prescription drugs.

May says no narcotics were on board, but many other drugs were from prescription cold remedies to anti-depressants.

The sheriff says the thief probably followed the truck from its departure in Knoxville, Tennessee.  The truck was on its way to Corona, California.  It vanished from outside a truck stop near Forrest City, where the driver had stopped for dinner.
