Iraq, Afghanistan Veterans Call for Resignation of State GOP Chair

LITTLE ROCK, AR - VoteVets.org, the largest political group of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, called on Arkansas State GOP Chairman Dennis Milligan to resign for suggesting an attack on American would be a good thing.

"Those of us who fought to defend America won't even dignify Milligan's sick suggestion that Americans should die to justify the political argument for George W. Bush's failed policy in Iraq, other than to say he is a sick man and should step down," said Iraq War veteran Joh Soltz, chair and co-founder of VoteVets.org.

Monday, it was reported in an interview with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that Milligan said, "At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on September 11, 2001."

VoteVets.org is described as "a pro-military organization committed to the destruction of terror networks around the world, with force when necessary."
