More Arkansas Guardsmen On Way to Iraq

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Family, friends and top state officials have given about 30 members of the Arkansas National Guard a warm sendoff as they left to train for duty in Iraq.

The soldiers of the 871st Troop Command's Headquarters Company left Camp Robinson in North Little Rock yesterday for training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, in preparation for deployment to Iraq.

Governor Beebe and Attorney General Dustin McDaniel were on hand, along with top National Guard officers.  The governor pledged his support of the troops and their families, telling the soldiers they should concentrate on their duties and staying alive, and not worry about their families.
