Greene County Tech Plans Public Meeting to Discuss Plans for New High School Facility

PARAGOULD, AR - The Greene County Tech School District's administrators and board of education members have set a public forum for Monday night (June 18) to get public input and discuss plans for a proposed new high school facility.

Tech administrators announced intentions to build a new high school early last month after learning that the district is in line to receive approximately $27 million from the state, in monies appropriated by the Legislature.

Tech has the largest school district in Greene County, but other than its gymnasium/multi-purpose center, the most modern building on the high school's campus was built in 1966.  The oldest building, "Old Main," dates back to 1948 and often floods whenever heavy rains strike.

Monday night's forum begins at 7 p.m. at the high school cafeteria.
