Democrats Aiming for Full House When Senator Clinton Addresses NLR Fundraiser

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Democratic Party of Arkansas isn't risking any empty seats when the state's former first lady and now-presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton comes to North Little Rock.

Party officials said today that a $50,000 donation bought 2,000 tickets to a fundraiser Saturday night headlined by the New York senator at Alltel Arena.  The tickets are being evenly distributed by the party and Clinton's presidential campaign to volunteers and Democratic supporters.

Organizers had already expected at least 2,000 people at the annual Jefferson-Jackson party fundraiser Saturday night.  If all the additional tickets are given away, attendance could double at more than 4,000 people.

A spokesman for Clinton says the campaign is calling supporters and others have been active in the Democratic Party.

Organizers say the event had earlier sold out its 150 tables, which were selling for $1,000 each.  The party has also been offering $25 seats that don't include floor access or dinner.
