What Qualifies, What Doesn't For Grocery Sales Tax Cut?

July 2, 2007: posted at 9:00 pm cst--Governor Mike Beebe's 50% tax cut on groceries goes into effect Tuesday, July 3rd. When it hits, the state sales tax on groceries drops from 6% to 3%. It doesn't apply to everything. Things like hot, or prepared foods are not part of the cut, neither are medicines and pet food. Booze and smokes don't qualify either.
