WEST MEMPHIS, AR - The Reverened Jesse Jackson is scheduled to take part in a march in West Memphis on Saturday, a spokesman for Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition has said.
The march is to show support for the family and commemorate the memory of 12-year-old DeAuntie Farrow, who was shot and killed last month by a West Memphis police officer. Farrow was shot on the evening of June 22 by an officer who believed the boy was holding a gun. The youth's family has disputed that.
Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton was in West Memphis last weekend for Farrow's funeral.
