Mountain Home Drunk Misses Chance to Stay Out of Jail

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR - A Mountain Home man was not too drunk to know he needed to take a taxi instead of drive home.

But he apparently was too drunk to get out of the taxi and landed up in jail on a public intoxication charge.  When the 43-year-old man refused to tell the taxi driver where he lived, the driver took him to two motels.  A police report indicated the man refused to get out of the van at both motels so the taxi driver took him to the police station.

The police helped the man out and tested him for intoxication...a test which he failed.  The test showed he had more than three times the legal limit for alcohol.  A police officer took the man to jail.
