Green Selected AS 2007 Office Professional Of The Year

Michelle Green, Administrative Assistant to Superintendent Dr. Ann Webb of Cedar Ridge School District, has been selected the 2007 Olive T. Ritchie Educational Office Professional of the Year by the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP).  Michelle will be honored at the NAEOP Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington, at an Awards Luncheon on July 16.  She is the 34th recipient of the award and the second Arkansan so named (Diane Wood of Fort Smith School District was the first).  NAEOP is the only national professional association for educational office personnel and provides professional growth opportunities, leadership and service for employees in education through a specifically designed certification program, quality training, a network for sharing information and ideas, recognition of achievements and fellowship.  NAEOP was organized in 1934 and presently has a membership of approximately 4,500. Green received Certified Educational Office Employee (CEOE) status through NAEOP in 1989.

     Green is considered a 3D member, having membership in local, state, and national educational office professional associations for the past 21 years.  She was previously selected the 2006 Arkansas Educational Office Professional of the Year, served as president of the state association in 2005, and currently serves on the AAEOP Board.  She is a charter member of the local association, White River AEOP, and currently serves as treasurer.

     Michelle recently completed her 23rd year in the position of Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.  She is married to George Green, a retired school administrator; they have two sons, Landon and Lance, and one grandson, Zach.
