State Police Seize Gambling Machines in McCrory Raid

McCRORY, AR - Agents with the Arkansas State Police and McCrory Police Department seized thirty electronic gaming machines that were allegedly being used illegally at the Beanie Baby Arcade, at 106 West 4th Street in McCrory.

The raid was carried out late Tuesday afternoon.

Investigator Dale Arnold of the state police said agents also seized approximately $3,000 in cash at the business.

Arnold says police arrested the arcade's owner, identified as 56-year-old Ethel Wilson.  Charges are pending against Wilson, whom Arnold says was arrested and convicted in 2004 for "the attempted keeping of a gambling house."

Arnold also said police interviewed eight to ten patrons at the "little casino," though none were arrested.
