Arkansas Man Fatally Stabbed in Branson Motel

BRANSON, MO - Branson police are investigating a fatal stabbing at a local motel.

If the case is determined to be a homicide, it would be the first murder this year in the resort town and only the third since 2000.

Police said they were called to the Crescent Court Motel on Veterans Boulevard about 10 o'clock last night.

They found a 48-year-old Harrison, Arkansas, man outside the motel office bleeding from a stab wound to the left shoulder.

The victim, identified as Dewayne Anthony Lynn, was taken to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

Police say an autopsy will be performed today.  No motive has been established and no suspects have been identified.

Police asked anyone with information to contact the Branson Police Dept. at 417-334-3300 or call the department's CATCH line at 417-334-1085.
