Stolen SUVs Recovered After Viewer Sees Report on K8 News

JONESBORO, AR - Here's an update to a story that we first told you about Friday on our Nightbeat newscast.

Three vehicles that were stolen from the Car Choice Pre-Owned AutoMart on Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro have been successfully recovered.

Less than an hour after reporter Brandi Hodges' report about the theft aired on Nightbeat, police received a tip call that the vehicles in question were in the parking garage at St. Bernard's Medical Center in downtown Jonesboro.

The three automobiles, a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, a 2006 Dodge Durango, and a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer were all recovered undamaged, according to Car Choice spokesman Kelly Copeland.   The SUVs had apparently been taken from the Car Choice lot Thursday night around 11:30.

The JPD has made two arrests in the case, which is still being investigated.
