What is RSS?

There are many descriptions for the acronym RSS but the most common is Really Simple Syndication. It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and other content to a wide number of people. It is used by computer programs that organize those headlines and notices for easy reading. In essence, the feeds themselves are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people. KAIT8.com now offers RSS feeds for major news sections, delivering real-time news to you.

How do I start using RSS feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.
