Arkansans Split 3-1 on Guaranteed At-Home Time for Soldiers

WASHINGTON - The Arkansas delegation in the U.S. House of Representatives has split 3-1 along party lines on a 229-194 vote approving a measure to give U.S. troops guranteed time at home between deployments to Iraq.

Voting to approve the measure yesterday at Washington were six Republicans and 223 Democrats, including Arkansas Democratic Congressmen Marion Berry, Mike Ross and Vic Snyder.

Voting no were four Democrats and 190 Republicans, including Arkansas Republican Congressman John Boozman.
