National Night Out to be Observed in West Jonesboro Neighborhood

JONESBORO, AR - While the city of Jonesboro will not formally observe or participate in National Night Out activities this evening, that's not stopping residents in one west Jonesboro neighborhood from holding their own celebration of the nationally recognized night against neighborhood crime.

The West End Neighborhood Association, primarily the residential area around West Elementary School, will hold its own celebration and activities tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., according to spokeswoman Evelyn Nelson.

Meanwhile in Greene County, the city of Paragould will also celebration National Night Out this year, and in the small Craighead County community of Cash, NNO will be observed on Friday beginning at 6:45 p.m., at the City Hall.
