Dispute Between Two Judges Sends Trooper to Courthouse

MARSHALL, AR - A state police spokesman says an apparent dispute between two judges at the Searcy County Courthouse resulted in a trooper being called to resolve the issue.

State police spokesman Bill Sadler said a trooper was dispatched to the courthouse in Marshall yesterday.  But Sadler said that, before the trooper arrived, he was called off because his services were not needed.

Sadler said he did not know the nature of the dispute, nor the names of the judges involved.  Calls to the Searcy County sheriff's office were referred to the prosecutors's office.  Marcus Vaden in the prosecutor's office declined to comment.
