Police: No Evidence of Deliberate Sewage Spill into White River

BULL SHOALS, AR - Authorities say sabotage cannot be blamed for a 50,000-gallon sewage spill along the White River.

Town officials say they were wrong to believe that someone deliberately dumped waste into the river in north Arkansas.

Bull Shoals Police Chief Mike Armstrong says there is no evidence the spill was deliberate.

State and federal agencies looked into the November 10 incident as a possible act of domestic terrorism.  But officials say the likely cause is human error.  The alarm switches in the pumping station were switched off.
