Dustin McDaniel to Chair Clinton Campaign in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says he will be state chairman of Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in Arkansas.  McDaniel says he plans to organize a closed-door meeting soon between the candidate and state House and Senate Democrats so that lawmakers can discuss the campaign with her.

The Jonesboro native announced his endorsement of Clinton before she visited the state earlier this year, and says he decided to support her because of her ties to Arkansas and because he believes she will be the first Democrat to win the state since her husband, Bill Clinton.

Hillary Clinton is now a U.S. Senator for New York.  She formerly was first lady of the U.S., and before that, of the state of Arkansas.  She has fundraisers next Monday in Fayetteville and Little Rock.
