BATESVILLE, AR - A new aviation maintenance class through the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville began this week in a place where its 15 students can immediately get their hands dirty.
The class will be held mainly at a hangar at the Batesville Regional Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration did a final inspection Friday morning and issued a certificate recognizing the program yesterday. The college also received an air agency number from the FAA, which all airlines, repair stations and schools have.
School and local leaders welcomed students to the hangar Monday, the first day of classes.
