Arkansas Soldier Also Killed in Black Hawk Crash

BAGHDAD, IRAQ - An Arkansas soldier is among the 14 dead from that Black Hawk helicopter crash in northern Iraq.

Specialist Tyler R. Seideman of Lincoln was killed when the helicopter went down Wednesday due to apparent mechanical problems.  No one aboard survived.

Family friend Gail True tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that Seiderman had been in Iraq for about a year.  She says the 20-year-old Seiderman graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville before enlisting in the Army.

Seiderman is the 50th Arkansas soldier to die in the Iraq war.

Earlier this week, K8 News learned that Ricky Bell of Caruthersville, Missouri, was also killed in the crash.
