Mississippi County Courting Potential Employer

BLYTHEVILLE, AR - Officials in Mississippi County are trying to bring a new employer to the county.

The Mississippi County Quorum Court has agreed to put up $600,000 in economic development money to help attract the as-yet unnamed company.

County Judge Steve McGuire says that the company would create up to 60 jobs and pay an average salary of $65,000 per year.

The steel industry plays a major role in the Mississippi County economy and local economic developers have worked to help the sector grow.
