Highway 67 Coalition to Meet in Walnut Ridge Next Month

WALNUT RIDGE, AR - The Highway 67 coalition, made up of community leaders and elected officials from northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri in an effort to see to fruition plans to widen the entire leg of U.S. 67 in Region 8, will meet again next month in Walnut Ridge.

Northeast Arkansas Congressman Marion Berry and southeast Missouri Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson will each appear at the session, which is set for September 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.  A definite location has not yet been confirmed for the forum, but sources say it will probably take place on the campus of Williams Baptist College.

In addition to Berry and Emerson, several state legislators from both northeast Arkansas and the Bootheel have been invited, as well as other community leaders.
