ASU Vice Chancellor Candidates Due on Campus Next Month

JONESBORO, AR - Arkansas State University officials today announced the schedules for on-campus visits of the three finalists for the position of Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Research.  The three finalists, all veteran administrators in higher education, will be visiting the campus September 10-12.

Dr. Dee Hopkins, Dean of the College of Education at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, will arrive on campus on September 10.  Chrisann Schiro-Geist, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at the University of Memphis, is due on campus on Sept. 11, and Dr. G. Daniel Howard, Vice President for Administration and International Relations at the University of North Alabama, is expected on Sept. 12.

All three candidates will meet with various groups on campus, including the ten-member search committee

Each candidate will also be the focus of an open forum, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on the day of the individual candidate's visit.
