SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence Gets $100K Gift

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - The Missouri Foundation for Health yesterday announced the awarding of a $100,000 grant to the SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence, which will celebrate its tenth year of operations on September 22.

The current operating budget for the network is $600,000.

Much of the grant money is expected to be used for the network's forensic program, which serves about 600 individuals per year.

According to its Web site, the network was formed in 1997 to address "the unmet needs of child and adult victims of sexual violence."
