Bartlett Police Officer Fired after Party "Got Out of Hand"

BARTLETT, TN - A veteran police officer was fired after the Bartlett mayor said she repeatedly used poors judgement while off-duty, most recently at a pool party at her home.

Carey Faulkner was fired from the Bartlett police force four days after a six-hour administrative hearing.

Last month, Faulkner hosted a pool party that Mayor Keith McDonald said spun out of control with alcohol and rowdy behaviour while her squad car was parked in the front drive.

Two rookie police officers were fired...both had stripped down to their underwear, and Faulkner's husband, Collierville firefighter Brandon Faulkner, was charged with sexually assaulting a guest.

The mayor cited three reprimands during her eight years as a police officer: a 1999 incident in which she was caught swimming nude in an apartment complex pool, a 2002 incident in which she climbed on stage with a stripper at a topless club, and the August party.
