Jonesboro, AR--Bob Snell Reporting

Hugs and Kisses for the 875th

September 29, 2007--Posted at 5:45 p.m. CDT

JONESBORO--The soldiers from 875th Engineer Battalion arrived in Region 8 to a heroes welcome.  Thousands lined the streets in Paragould and Jonesboro to show our soldiers how much we missed them and how glad they're back home again.

As the buses rolled into the parking lot at the National Guard Armory on the ASU campus, family and friends rushed to hug and kiss their loved ones.  It was the moment they had been waiting for for 14 months.

Tears flowed freely as the joyous reunions took place all over the parking lot.  Husbands and wives held on tightly and children cried tears of joy as they finally got the chance to see and touch their loved one.
