Bomb Threat Clears Doniphan School...Again

DONIPHAN, MO - For the second consecutive day, a reference to a bomb was found written on a bathroom stall in the Doniphan School District.  This time, the incident occured at the high school, following a similar incident yesterday at the middle school campus.

This morning, police and school administrators cleared the high school's main building and "thoroughly searched classrooms and lockers."  Again, no explosive device was found, and students and faculty were eventually allowed to return to campus.

School administrators again say they believe today's incident is a "copycat event in response to similar incidents that have occured recently on the middle school campus."

Parents are encouraged to discuss the matter with students.

Last month, classes in the district were dismissed for two days due to similar threats, and the school district held a public forum last Friday about the issues.
