Jonesboro Man Injured in Ultralight Crash Near Cash

CASH, AR - Authorities have identified a man who crashed his ultralight aircraft near in southwest Craighead County early last night.

Police say 66-year-old William Gallion of Jonesboro broke both of his legs when his ultralight went down in a ditch near the intersection of highways 226 and 349, near Cash.  The accident occured around 5 p.m., shortly after Gallion had taken off from a nearby private airstrip.  Witnesses say his aircraft may have clipped a power line before crashing.

Gallion was taken by ambulance to St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
