Future I-555 Work Wraps Up

JONESBORO, AR - Physical work on the future Interstate-555 project connecting Jonesboro and I-55 in Crittenden County has wrapped up, according to Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department District 10 Engineer Joe Barnett.

However, there's still no word yet on when the AHTD will actually designate the new corridor as an official interstate highway.

The work upgrading interchanges and frontage roads to interstate status began in 2001.
