SeMo Man to Be Tried for 2nd Degree Murder in Prescription Death

BLOOMFIELD, MO - A February trial is scheduled for a 41-year-old southeast Missouri man accused in a teen's death by methadone.

Larry Kenton Sanders of Dexter pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and felony distribution of a controlled substance.  Sanders is charged as a prior and persistent offender.

His trial is set for February 4.

Sanders' arrest earlier this year followed a four-month investigation by Dexter police into the death of 19-year-old Michael Robinson.  Sanders is accused of selling 25-to-30 methadone pills to Robinson just prior to the victim's death.
