LITTLE ROCK, AR - A new poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to be the favorite in Arkansas, where she served as first lady for 12 years. This while support for Republican candidate and former Governor Mike Huckabee's presidential bid is shaky in his home state.
The annual Arkansas Poll by the University of Arkansas showed that 35 percent of those polled say they would vote for Clinton if the election were held today. Eight percent of respondents named Huckabee and fellow Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani of New York.
With a sample of 754 completed surveys out of more than 1,700 Arkansans called between October 7 and October 18, the survey's overall margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
