Westside Middle School to be Honored by Governor

JONESBORO, AR - Westside Middle School will be honored as one of just 14 schools in Arkansas as a high-performing best practices school in Arkansas at a recognition luncheon to be held Friday by Governor Beebe and state Education Commissioner Dr. Ken James.  Both men will be on hand at the luncheon to present Westside administrators with a "Best Practices" flag designating Westside Middle as one of the top schools in the state.

Nettleton Intermediate School will also be so-honored by the state.

"This is a tremendous honor for Westside and all of Craighead County, for two of the 14 schools statewide being located in Craighead County.  I am so proud for our students, their families, and our faculty and staff for being recognized with this great honor," said Westside Superintendent Dr. James Best.
