Crittenden County Eligible for Disaster Loans

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Small businesses in Crittenden and three other counties are eligible for federal disaster loans amid an ongoing drought in the southern United States.

The U.S. Small Business Administration said yesterday that Crittenden, Phillips, Desha and Chicot counties are eligible because they are next to drought-stricken counties in Mississippi.

Economic injury disaster loans are available to farm-related and non-farm related small businesses that suffered financial losses because of the drought.  Eligible small businesses may qualify for loans up to $1.5 million, at a 4 percent interest rate.
