Memphis Topless Club Owner Pleads Guilty to Racketeering

MEMPHIS, TN - A longtime figure in the topless nightclub industry in Memphis pleaded guilty to a federal racketeering change.

Ralph Lunati, 62, admitted conspiring to use the nightclubs Platinum Plus and Tunica Cabaret to aid in racketeering. 

Prosecutors said they will recommend a prison term of 18 months at sentencing on February 15.

Lunati also will forfeit his financial interests in the clubs and give up more than $250,000 seized during a police raid late last year.

Charges against Lunati said he benefitted financially from acts of prostitution by dancers in his clubs.

Lunati was accused of providing automatic banking machines for customers, charging $5 on each transaction plus ten percent of the amounts paid to the prostitutes.
