Missouri Teenage Bull Rider Killed at Ash Flat Rodeo

ASH FLAT, AR - Authorities say a 17-year-old bull rider from southern Missouri died after a bull stepped on his chest at a rodeo in Ash Flat.

Zackary Clinton of Willow Springs, Missouri, died Saturday night at the Fulton County Hospital after the incident at the Bar D Arena.  Ash Flat Police Chief Mike Zeiger says the bull threw the teen to the ground before stepping on his chest.

Clinton was a junior at Willow Springs High School, where he played on the school's baseball team.

Principal Jimalee James said Clinton was a member of the FFA and was well-liked by students and faculty.  The principal says Clinton loved rodeo.

Funeral services are scheduled for tomorrow at Willow Springs High School.
