Jonesboro Hosts International Council of Shopping Centers

JONESBORO, AR - Members of the International Council of Shopping Centers from across the Mid-South are due in Jonesboro this afternoon.

According to a spokeswoman with the Burrow-Halsey Real Estate Group, approximately 50-to-80 members of the Council from mostly Arkansas and Tennessee will tour The Mall at Turtle Creek this afternoon.  Following the tour, the visitors will gather for a reception and panel discussion at the Holiday Inn.

The panel discussion will focus on issues such as retail growth, sales tax revenues, and educational opportunities.  Panelists include developer Bruce Burrow, St. Bernard's Healthcare President and CEO Ben Owens, Arkansas State University President Dr. Les Wyatt and Mark Young, President and CEO of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.
