Car Crash Claims Third Child of Wounded Iraq Veteran from Arkansas

DALLAS, TX - A wounded Iraq veteran and his wife, who are from Arkansas, have lost their third child from injuries the boy suffered in an SUV rollover on the way to visit his father.

Two children died in the October 13 crash on Interstate 10 in Texas.

Nine-year-old Tyler Johnson died Saturday at a Dallas hospital.

Specialist John Austin Johnson of Ft. Bliss was waiting for his wife, Lisa, and their children to visit him at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Officials have said Lisa Johnson overcorrected after encountering a blast of wind on the drive from El Paso.  The couple's youngest children, 2-year-old Logan and 5-year-old Ashley, died at the scene.  Logan was in a child seat.  The other two youngsters weren't wearing seat belts.

Tyler's funeral is Thursday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, the family's hometown.
