Nov. 27 Hearing Set for Accused Killers of U of M Student

MEMPHIS, TN - A court hearing is scheduled November 27 at which authorities are expected to present some of their evidence against four men charged with murdering a student on the University of Memphis campus.

Devin Jefferson, Victor Trezevant, Daeshawn Tate and Courtney Washington appeared briefly in General Sessions Court today for scheduling of a preliminary hearing.

At such hearings, prosecutors show if they have probable cause to keep criminal defendants jailed pending further court actions or grand jury reviews.

The four Memphis men are charged with killing football player Taylor Bradford of Nashville during a bugled robbery on September 30.

Bradford was killed the day after he won several thousand dollars at a north Mississippi casino.
