JPD Investigating Shooting in Industrial Park

JONESBORO, AR - Detectives with the Jonesboro Police Department are on the scene at this hour in the city's Industrial Park, investigating a shooting.

A JPD spokesman told Region 8 News that officers responded to a report of a man with a gun, around 6:30 a.m., at the Delta Manufacturing Plant at 4800 Kreuger Drive.

When police arrived and confronted the suspected shooter he then apparently turned the gun on himself and became the victim of a self-inflicted wound.  Paramedics took the person to St. Bernard's Medical Center, where he is reportedly undergoing treatment at this hour.

No one else was apparently injured in the incident.  Region 8 News has a crew at the scene, and will have more information as it becomes available.
