NAFA offering Holiday Pet Photos Again

JONESBORO, AR - Northeast Arkansans for Animals will once again offer holiday pet photos for local residents and their pets this season.

Each 4 x 6 photo ($5) purchased in NAFA's Save a Life-Holiday Pet Pictures package will feed a homeless puppy or kitten for three days.  Each 5 x 7 wallet package ($10) will help with medical expenses to two puppies or kittens.

The portraits will be taken on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 8, at PetCo on Caraway Road. Santa will also be on hand to candy and a small prize for each child that visits, and bandannas and treat bags will be available for each pet that visits.  Pups, kittens, dogs and cats will also be available for adoption.

Photos will be available for pick up the Wednesday after the photos are taken.

In recent days, NAFA has been over-run with a large number of rescued and surrendered animals.  "Winter is an especially difficult time for homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens," said NAFA Director Wannda Turner.  "This week alone, NAFA has taken in two mama dogs, four mama cats, 15 puppies, 12 kittens and more than a dozen and adult dogs and cats.  Funds are needed for food and medical attention."
