Humane Society Offers $2,500 Toward Arrest of Dog Killer

HUNTSVILLE, AR - The Humane Society of the United States is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person who killed and skinned a dog and draped it over a high school teacher's gate.

Madison County Sheriff Phillip Morgan has said the person who killed the dog apparently believed the teacher had reported another teacher for killing a raccoon with a nail gun prior to a November class demonstration.

Jerick Hutchinson, a Huntsville High School teacher, had planned a demonstration on how to skin a dead animal, but a parent surprised him and brought a live raccoon.  Hutchinson took the raccoon to his truck and used a nail gun to kill the animal.
