Beebe Urges Educators to Work Together

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Mike Beebe wants education officials from each level of learning to collaborate as they work to create more opportunity for all Arkansans.

Beebe spoke today at an annual joint meeting of the boards that govern public schools, higher education and job training.

The governor said that each part of the education system is dependent on the other, and successes at the earlier levels in school means greater success down the line.  Beebe says education and economic development are his top priorities now, and they will remain so in the future.

Beebe says the state has to provide and maintain a truly integrated and successful integration program and that each group has to work toward that end.
