Delegation Announced $877K in Housing Grants

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Members of the state congressional delegation have announced $878,000 in housing grants from the Housing and Urban Development office.

The grants are awarded through two programs: one that provides vouchers for families and another that provides training so welfare recipients can work.

The money is being divided among 16 communities, including five in Region 8, with North Little Rock getting the largest amount at about $145,000 from the two programs.

Region 8 communities benefitting from the program include Jonesboro, Mississippi County, White River Regional Housing Authority, West Memphis and Wynne.
