Snow Storm Leaves Nine Inches, Pile-Ups

ST. JOSEPH, MO - Sunny weather in western Missouri yesterday gave residents a respite after another winter storm dumped between six and nine inches of snow.

No more precipitation is expected until mid-week.

Three people were injured in a wreck on Interstate 29 at St. Joseph Saturday that involved between 20 and 40 vehicles.  The Missouri State Hwy. Patrol says none were injured seriously.

The American Red Cross has opened emergency weather shelters in St. Joseph and Mound City.
