Bearden High School Band to Perform at Cotton Bowl Game

BEARDEN, AR - The small high school band at Bearden is the only one from Arkansas participating in the Cotton Bowl this year, when the Arkansas Razorbacks also play, meeting Missouri in Dallas.

Bearden was one of 17 high school bands invited to the three-day Cotton Bowl Music Festival.

The festival began yesterday and ends with the game tomorrow.  It will include concert band, jazz band and field show competitions, a parade through downtown Dallas, and the nationally televised pageantry performances during the game.

The Bearden band will compete in the field show competition, march in the parade, and perform during the pre-game and halftime shows.

During the field show, the band will play a medley of Motown songs.
