Bus Driver Charged in Deadly November I-40 Crash

An arrest warrant has been issued for the driver of a commercial bus that crashed in Forrest City, Arkansas last November, resulting in the deaths of four people.

Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division have obtained a warrant for the arrest of Felix Tapia, spokesperson Bill Sadler said.

Sadler said Tapia is believed to be in Texas, and is not in the custody of Arkansas State Police.

On November 25, 2007, Tapia was at the wheel of a commercial bus that crossed the median from the westbound lane of Interstate 40 near Forrest City, causing a three vehicle accident.  Sadler said Tapia faces four counts of negligent homicide in the crash.
