Emergency Department at Paragould Hospital Wins National Award

PARAGOULD, AR - The Emergency Department at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould has been named a 2007 Compass Award winner by Press Ganey Associates, Inc.  The award recognized healthcare facilities that show the most improvement over two years in overall patient satisfaction.

The Compass Award is a considered a "coveted symbol of achievement in the healthcare satisfaction industry that is bestowed annually," and AMMC is one of only 34 health care facilities across the nation to be recognized with the award.

"The Compass Award symbolizes our employees' dedication to giving patients world-class care," said AMMC President/CEO Ron Rooney.  "At AMMC, 'It's all about you' and we really take that philosophy to heart when caring for our patients and their families.  The award lets us know that we're staying true to that commitment."

Press Ganey currently partners with more than 7,000 healthcare facilities, including nearly 40 percent of U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the quality of patient care.
