Teen Killed in Pine Bluff's First Homicide of '08

PINE BLUFF, AR - Pine Bluff police say an 18-year-old man was killed in the city's first homicide of 2008.

Police say they were called to a gas station with reports of shots fired, shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday.  But when police arrived, the shooting victim had already been taken to the hospital.  There, Kentrell Mason of White Hall was pronounced dead.

Pine Bluff Police Lieutenant Bob Rawlinson says Mason was shot several times in the chest.  Rawlinson says it appears Mason was taken to the hospital by witnesses at the scene.

Rawlinson says 23-year-old Marcus Christopher was arrested in connection with Mason's death.
