State Surveys Missourians on Wetlands Value

ST. LOUIS, MO - The Department of Natural Resources is asking Missouri citizens to determine the value of the state's wetland resources.

The department's Water Resources Center is running an online survey to determine how much the public is willing to pay to replace and create wetlands.

A DNR spokesman says wetlands are crucial parts of Missouri's water resources and serve many purposes.

The survey is anonymous and will be on the department's Web page until there are enough responses.
