Greene County Emergency Responders Called to Farm Accident

STANFORD, AR - Emergency responders in Greene County are on the scene at this hour in Stanford, where a man was reportedly become trapped after falling into a full grain bin.

The accident happened at approximately 7:45 a.m. off of Greene County Road 601.

Farm owner Jimmy Smith had become trapped in the soybeans inside of the silo while trying to loosen the blockage for an auger.  Rescue workers were able to remove Smith from the silo.  He was then taken to a local hospital.
